About Trans and Intersex inclusivity

Howdy, Gainers.

This is going to be a bit of departure from regular posts. As the community's grown, I've encountered a need to explain how the game will handle a diverse range of characters and topics.

Particularly, I'd like to respond to requests for trans and intersex characters in the game. It's important to note that the player can already self-identify as male, female, or non-binary, and there are plans in future to unhook the player's physical features from the gender options available. There's also a trans character in the game already, and a great deal of care has been taken to keep their depiction and inclusion in the game respectful.

At the time of writing both myself and the lead artist on the project are trans. We're no strangers to dodgy representation, particularly in adult games, nor are we strangers to offensive or ignorant language and nomenclature applied to ourselves and our friends. Terms like "futa" and "trap" are thrown around in the adult games community very frequently, and exist purely to fetishise and undermine the identify of transgender, gender non-conforming, and intersex people.

I'm proud to say that the game features LGBT+ characters, and further diverse representation is planned. I'm also proud to say that the physical features of trans and intersex characters will never be the driving factor for their inclusion. You will never be "surprised" by a trans character revealing their birth sex to you mid-scene, nor will there ever be fetishisation of a character for physical features from a gender they've left behind. For example, Bertha, one of the games' characters is trans. She identifies as a woman, and as a result all of her content (even adult) will treat her as she is; a woman.
