The five planets in the Demo change the first Friday of every month. La'ard and Silva came out of rotation and were replaced by two other planets, which in turn are set to be replaced this Friday.
Hello! Okay it must be annoying how much I'm commenting.. But i wanted to suggest a feature! Some sort of profiler for each of the crew members that list stuff like species, age, height, maybe some tid-bits from story as a form of recap? This is a big ask since you're working on expansions but i still have try :pp
I was working on a sketch to practice my "anatomy" and i started to think about this game and i realised.. It's a new month which means "another rotationnn!" and it made me realise how much i actually care about this project since like.. A year ago, and now i look forward to every new rotation! I'm making this comment to say that I'm currently in the process of getting a job since i dropped out of college (very kewl of me... Not, but i did it for a good reason) and since I'll be able to generate my own income, that would mean that I'm close to actually being able to support my favourite developers!! Just wanted to write this as sign that you're all doing a great job :3
The remaining development milestones are as follows:
Crew expansion (Currently working on) - Adding more interactions, scenes and personality to the crewmates.
Ship expansion - Combat, upgrades, and giving utility/special abilities to your crewmates.
Expanded intro - More lore, more time spent on Vulpis establishing the vibe of the player character's homeworld.
Final antagonist and endings - There will be a *bunch* of endings, and prologues as well, depending on choices throughout the game.
The order of the last three will be voted on by supporters.
Once the game hits 1.0, I'm gonna be doing a quality pass, going through every scene in the game to squash bugs, fix typos, add detail where it's lacking, etc etc. After that, it'll be 'done'. Everyone who's supported the game above asking price will get a copy at no extra cost, and I'll be gradually adding the 200+ entries in my suggestions box. I will eventually be working on a few smaller projects (Some are in mid-production atm, and building up to the next big game as well).
Hopefully that answers your questions! Thank you for the support and for playing! :)
Hello! I currently just have a little question about species. For starters i have a thing for knots and stuff and i noticed way early on that miles was a lunisian wolf without a knot! I only wanted to bring this up cause tyr is a hyena man and the codex said that his species have humanoid ones. It's all hot and all i just felt curious if this was a mistake or intentional, it's still a 10/10. Side note! It would be nice to see more knot action in luna cause i only remember seeing 8 events including the alternate kink variety version in the drive center, i like my wolfies TwT
Yayyy! Also just wanted to point this out cause i forgot to say this, but there is a typo in the naja psychologist event where the snake man asks "who do you belong to?" but it's a letter off, Thank youuuu
Hi, I'm a little confused by the preference settings in this one. I've played this game a few times, over the past year or two, and never at any point have the kink and mutation preference settings worked properly. With the warning settings, they seem to reset no matter what I do, refusing to save my changes, so for whatever reason I only get warnings for maybe 2-3 turns, if that, and then the setting is switched off again. For the mutation blocking, those just do not do anything at all as far as I can tell. Both using the random mutation mode and the non-random mode. No matter what, the game still gives me mutations that are clearly crossed out in the list. It doesn't even seem to make them happen less often, and a lot of them I blacklisted because they simply happened too frequently. Those settings DO save, as in, they're still crossed out when I go back to the page (Unlike the warning settings, which simply reset themselves to default) but there doesn't appear to be any influence on whether or not I'm given a mutation, and when I've been given those mutations I can no longer cross them out until they've been removed. Maybe I'm using it wrong, but I really just don't get how to properly include warnings and block certain mutations, which is making it difficult to really get into the game. I would also really like a way to "lock in" certain mutations so that we didn't just keep having to reset to square one if we get a mutation we hate (that should have been blacklisted in the first place). Please do let me know if I'm just misunderstanding how these settings are meant to work, because I'd really like to be able to play this game more freely.
Sorry to hear that the game isn't working properly for you. Here's some info that might help!
To clarify some of the 'Preferences' options:
The 'Filter' option disables planets based on kinks found there, so the options to travel there become inaccessible when you're on the bridge of your ship.
The 'Warnings' option adds warnings to planets hosting niche content when set to 'Low' and all planets when set to 'High'. The latter also adds some warnings to buttons that lead to niche content as well. Please keep in mind that the planet warning only triggers the first time you visit, and continuing past the warning disables it for next time. This option is still work-in-progress, and will be significantly more robust once the game is further in development.
The 'Flagging' option adds a brief summary to the location buttons when you're on the bridge of your ship.
To clarify the mutation and kink stuff:
There is a bug in Build 167 where having your mutations removed breaks the mutation blocklist. If you have a save from before 167 BugFix 1, please import it to the current build of the game and go through the mutation removal machine on your ship to reset your mutations, possible mutations, and blocked mutations.
The 'Kink blocklist' is just for kinks that your player character can develop if you push them into the same content over and over again. There isn't a way to remove Kinks you already have yet, but it'll be a feature at some point.
You can buy the 'Gene Profiler' at the 'Shipyard' location to pick and choose which mutations to keep and which ones to get rid of.
I was unable to replicate the Preferences settings changing after a few turns, beyond reloading or restarting the game. If you happen to encounter this again, please let me know exactly what you were doing in-game when it happened, so I can investigate further.
This is very helpful, I'm probably using an old save from Build 167, I'm not sure, but because I've been playing across multiple months that would not surprise me. I don't mind just restarting the game for that.
The only thing is, yes I was able to immediately replicate the content warning settings resetting themselves to low within a few turns. I checked every turn, and they seemed to shut off at the end of an encounter/scene. The specific scene was leaving Metris-2 after talking the gang leader into helping in the war, where there's some kind of traitor who gets caught and turned back into the leader. Once I was back on the bridge of my ship, the setting had changed from high back to low. I set it back to high after that, and went around the ship, slept, initiated some sex scenes, talked to crew members, went in and out of the bridge, and the setting stayed on high that entire time. It also stayed high when I went back to Metris-2 and interacted with several NPCs. I don't really know what specifically is causing it, maybe NON-repeatable/plot relevant scenes? But I do know it shuts itself off regularly for me, so it's not just that one exiting Metris-2 scene, but that's the only one that managed to trigger it for me in the few minutes of running around and checking.
Is there any other way to buy the game other than Patreon or subscribestar? I assume ill get the game permanently but i just hate paying for subscription services? If there isnt i will still get the game permanently even after cancelling my membership right?
Currently, the game isn't up for single-purchase anywhere. It's only available in weekly Friday builds on Patreon and Subscribestar, since it's still heavily in development.
If you subscribe, download the latest build, and cancel the subscription, it's still yours to keep. So long as you download the files, you'll retain access to that build of the game. Please keep in mind that the 'Play in browser' option through Patreon does require an active subscription, just because that's how Itch.io handles access to the game.
Game codes will be distributed after the game is done, to anybody who has supported an amount equal to or more than the full price of the finished game (£10), no purchase required.
Is a guide to all crewmates and ways to get stronger overall planned? also sometimes blacklisted mutations still occur from cloning machine mutation removal, thought id mention that
If sufficiently game-breaking, then yes, they'll be implemented as soon as possible.
Speaking of which--Just pushed a bug-fix for the game which fixes the mutation removal process clearing your blocked mutations. Go through the mutation remover to fix your save and prevent blocked mutations showing up again.
Seeing Ivan pop in while on Na'Ja made me realize I completely failed to consider that our crew probably interacts with the civilized planets we explore on their own time while we're out doing our own thing. Given the current focus on adding to and updating the crew, I'm kinda wishing I could see a bit more of that, whether they be treated as events, like getting the implant for Ivan, or as random occurrences elsewhere.
Is there anything special if you dont die at all? Just wondering because in my save i havnt died yet (I load if I do) and I want to know if there is anything unique if I don't die
Ok, thanks for taking the time to respond to me, (also i love the" howdy" at the beginning of your comments) Goodnight luck with the game, im excited to see the end result, see ya
Exporting your data and importing it again is viable for collecting up the crewmates over a bunch of Demos and seeing everything, but there's also a 'skip the introduction' button in the main menu as well. The demo saves are also viable in the full version of the game, so you can bring 'em over if you decide to do that, too!
Hello, I'm sorry for asking but.. Since itch has been delisting nsfw games, i was curious if the public demo would keep getting updated..? I don't want to put any pressure knowing that you and everyone else are having a tough time with the issue especially with income and all that.. I'd be a bit sad if you stop updating since I've been using your game for a long time.. Although I'd completely understand if you do-!! Anyway my question.. Yeah i just wanted to ask if you'd still update the public demo, I'm sorry for making this unnecessarily long!!! (I wish i had the money to pay you TwT)
I have no plans to stop updating the Demo here. Currently, everything's delisted, but I intend to develop and publish my games here exactly as before (Assuming Itch doesn't nuke 'em)!
Hihi! I saw that your game was on a page of delisted itch games, and I was wondering if you wanted me to list it on my site. I’ve been working on trying to uplift NSFW creators and give a space for people to actually find stuff.
I'm loving the gameplay! Also, I'm on the demo version, but I can't seem to find the Scar.... (which is sad, because I really wanted to recruit Oliver)
How much more content is on the paid version, btw?
To complete the Silva quest, you have to enter the 'Growth Centre' and talk to the person in charge. This'll lead to a bounty hunter encounter the next time you lead the planet.

it seems like the "bigger tail" mutation doesn't get properly marked as obtained in the blocklist menu
What happened to La'ard and Sciurus Silva? Why are they blocked now?
Howdy!

Just another comment, as soon as i sent the earlier comment the site refreshed and i realised it has already been responded to.. I'm ✨ashamed✨

Thank you for the kind words and for playing my weird little game!
This month's Demo build will be out this Friday, and adds new scenes and interactions between various crewmates. Stay tuned! :)
Hey! I'm a huge fan of your game. I supported your patreon for a couple of months. I'm just wondering what's your plan for the future of the game?
Howdy!

Miles gene-modded himself a humanoid dick, but the Gnoll entry in the Codex is incorrect--thanks for pointing that out!
Expect more knot stuff in coming updates ^^

A full game guide is planned when the game hits 1.0!
Also, thank you for reporting that bug. I'll look into it this week!
yea its a massive issue you can get literally any mutation no matter what if you ever enabled the unstable mutations
BTW Will patches like this be immediately published to public versions or no?
i feel like this sort of thing should be pushed out asap

This is soooo good. Thank you! And thank you for making a free version for my poor ass.
There is a typo in the pleasure visor werewolf scene ("steps being" instead of "steps behind")

There will be some special scenes later on in development if you don't get cloned, but at the moment it just prevents you from developing mutations.

To complete the Silva quest, you have to enter the 'Growth Centre' and talk to the person in charge. This'll lead to a bounty hunter encounter the next time you lead the planet.

Real, (also nice name, check mine)
Thanks! Yours is Epic, you should have some choccy milk
